So, I have a Camelbak backpack that rubs or tears fabrics on my back. Obviously the friction is too high, and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a backpack (about 30l), for relatively fast walking, with some running in between, that's more fabric-friendly. I've tried tightening the backpack quite hard, but problems still occur. And it's not pleasant when it destroys your jacket or shirt after 2-3 hikes.

Maybe the t-shirts/jackets are the problem? What do you wear?

Huh, had bad experiences with quite a few products. Mammut jacket, Karibu, Craft t-shirts, Columbia, even Hofer/Lidl variants (which surprisingly hold up well). I doubt the problem is in the clothing. I have another smaller McKinley backpack and haven't noticed that problem there, it's true that with it I do much shorter hikes.

No choice, replace the backpack.

Montane brand backpacks, here you can get them in Kibuba, made so they don't damage fabric. Check more here:http://www.montane.co.uk/range/packs

@skydancer Deuter (rests on the back with "ventilation" mesh) I've been using for many years no problem. Doesn't damage anything, though I use the cheapest synthetic t-shirts. True, I don't run, maybe the problem appears there.
