While waiting for the new snow shipment it's best to head to the snow. I drive to Nevejo, my area. For several years now I've been searching for a passage under Bela Peč. With skis on my feet I start towards the lower station of the new gondola cableway, path 635. Little snow in the initial part, and that hard too, but it goes. Higher up more snow and here and there a sun ray shines; I leave the comfortable marked path at some point and turn right. Looking for the best passages and I don't always succeed, but I'm slowly progressing. Views widen with height, each more beautiful than the last here. So slowly I reach the cavers' bivouac with excellent view of the Western Julians. I sit outside a bit, then head under Visoki Kanin; there in some basin I hit a spur which I use for a while, when it turns upwards I decide to turn back. I ski straight down from one hollow to another until under the "gully" that leads me to Bela Peč saddle. Sun still high, I sit a bit, then ski down to Gilberti hut and to Irena for goulash and strudel. Then skiing to Nevejo on the ski slope, which ouch what do you pay for. Well the slope is hard, but apparently on some of our ski areas it's even worse. Years ago I did a similar tour +, described here: http://www.gore-ljudje.net/novosti/8610/
