Between Tinjan and Sečovlje

Porečanka - Parenzana, the Slovenian part is definitely far from any concrete mountain biking but still it's a solid trekking along which we can follow the rich history of the Slovenian area, which has often been at the crossroads of various national, political, economic... interests. I've gone on this trail quite a few times by bike or hiking but it always surprises me with something new - still undiscovered... With the bike I add some "detour or pocket" and today I decided right at the start... after 36 years and a few months for a revisit to Tinjan and at the end for a bike visit to the section between Portorož and Strunjan via Piran, Fiesa and Pacuga... Five hours of lazy - easy cycling, a good dozen fewer than a hundred kilometers ridden, almost a thousand elevation meters and a few more hours of swimming in the warm - September sea was the grand finale of today's first-of-September Sunday. The trail route was as usual extremely crowded but on both additions there was also lots of silence and peace... Such tours also come in handy from time to time and with their simplicity allow a somewhat more focused and deeper view of small fragmentary excerpts of historical, cultural, architectural, sacral, landscape, purely everyday... things and phenomena. Riding conditions excellent, because September high temperatures are much easier to endure or in those more problematic hours around noon you do some other activity and today I excellently combined that with swimming... Regards, bruny
