We used today's hike with the group to visit Pohorje, through Bistriški Vintgar, towards St. Three Kings, then visit Black Lake and back home to Osankarica, returned via another longer path past Rep, Velika Tinja. Pohorje has its charm but you can get lost quickly if you don't follow the markings well, a compass won't be superfluous.

Since the weather for the rest of Slovenia was forecasted as worse, I went to Pohorje today. Through Bistriški Vintgar to Three Kings and to Black Lake. I returned the same way. Snow barely from Three Kings onwards, on ski slopes there are still patches that need to be crossed and in the forest before the lake, which is melting fast, so I almost recommend rubber boots
. Otherwise nice as always. Weather held, sun, clouds and occasional strong wind. Still many people.

Yesterday I went with PD Iskra Kranj through Bistriški Vintgar to St. Three Kings. Before the starting point they are repairing the road a bit, so you have to park the vehicle a couple hundred meters before the starting point. The path through the cold gorge of the Bistrica stream is of course a bit muddy at this time, but well marked and in places protected with railings and before the Šum waterfall even with steel cables. The water level of the stream is high and it's really a pleasure to watch the play of water. First stop was at the Roman quarry. Then we viewed the unfortunately already fallen largest fir tree. The ruins of the old settlement of the original inhabitants we unfortunately missed - nothing was marked. Along the stream there used to be several small mills operating. Except for the Štampohar mill, which they have somehow preserved, everything else is in ruins. We came out at Planina pod Šumnikom and went along the marked path to St. Three Kings. There's a ski slope operating here. We also viewed the ancient church of St. Three Kings.
