Bivouac below Grintovec

Since I haven't spotted a dedicated thread for the bivouac below Grintovec yet, I'm opening one, if it already exists somewhere, please admin move the post.

Yesterday, after heavy rain in Kamniška Bistrica, the two of us set off late afternoon (with a two-hour delay) to the bivouac below Grintovec, route via Konec - Kokrsko sedlo - bivouac below Grintovec.

The path to Kokrsko sedlo was quite strenuous due to freshly soaked ground and fog. No snow up to the saddle. At Kokrsko sedlo we checked the winter room in Cojzova hut, which was in poor condition mrk pogled due to previous inconsiderate visitors.

From Kokrsko sedlo we continued quickly, because due to the delay, we had only half an hour until sunset, and about an hour's walk to the bivouac. Some snow starts a bit before the gates. On the other side, below the long walls, the descent was quite interesting due to darkness and steep sections of the path with snow/ice.

When we reached the point where we spotted the bivouac below Grintovec, I immediately noticed something that didn't make me happy at all. Namely, it seemed to me that I saw the doors of the bivouac open. At this point we also put on crampons and headlamps and hurried across the snowfields, now in the wind.

When we arrived at the bivouac, my observation was confirmed, namely the upper door leaf was open and due to the wind it had bent the fence and got stuck on it. We managed to free the upper leaf from the fence, but the latch or lock is quite damaged so it takes quite some persistence and luck to close them properly. If the doors had been a bit more damaged so they couldn't close properly, it would have been hard to sleep in the bivouac in that wind, the path in the dark to Cojzova hut wouldn't have been pleasant.
All night the wind was blowing quite strongly. A big concern was that the wind would open the upper door leaf due to that faulty lock, but luckily it held.

When we left in the morning, we closed the doors properly, which we checked again from afar and they stayed closed despite the strong morning wind.

There was also a lot of trash in the bivouac, which we packed into a bag and took down to the valley, because obviously someone wasn't capable of it.

Regarding the doors, trash and also vandalism I'll rather stay quiet and let everyone think their own...mrk pogled

Thanks to both of you for fixing and closing the doors.
I really don't understand what kind of scum walks our mountains.
I strongly hope that technology will advance enough over the years to document such 'scum' with photos.

I already pointed this out on 29.1. under topic "Turska gora". Doors were open and already damaged then too. Could somehow close them, but not everyone can. You have to be at least a bit technical type to know how to handle things. Damaged doors were also in February at bivouac under Skuta. They were "closed" in a very ingenious way.
@Lijaneja: I fear we'll all be shortchanged because of such, as I think PD will solve it by locking the bivouac and keys available only by arrangement down in the valley. Maybe not even weird given the cost of making and setting up such objects.
