I had problems with blisters on the heels, didn't matter which boots I wore. Now I put a patch on the heel (Mefix, non-woven self-adhesive patch, bought at Sanolabor) and no problems anymore. It holds all day and doesn't peel off even with the heaviest sweating.

Countless times tested on endless kilometers of Spanish Caminos are Compeed plasters which have been available on our market for some time. They are thick plasters in several sizes that help both preventively and curatively. Simply warm it slightly between your palms and stick it on the sensitive spot. They hold for days and days, are waterproof and effectively protect against blisters. Of course one has to first ask why blisters occur at all

@heinz ... DM, some pharmacies, I've seen them in Spar too, probably elsewhere. Here you get them in three sizes namely for between toes, around the foot and for heels. There's also a box with all three variants. They stick like *glued* so sometimes it's hard to remove them . If you already have a blister pierce it and the plaster will absorb the fluid. It's better of course to stick it as soon as you feel something rubbing. Here's a link ... https://www.compeed.co.uk/compeed-footcare

Thanks for all info @bagi! Similar ones from Hansaplast I already tried but they weren't great. Based on your description Compeed are much better. Got them, test tomorrow

I studied Compeed and Mefix based on above. Here at DM and Sanolabor they only sell Compeed Blister Medium Plaster, while on Amazon you can get Extreme Plaster which supposedly has 20% stronger adhesion than medium. Price of Medium is even lower at DM than abroad. I did buy Compeed Blister Medium Plaster but haven't tested it yet because I think it's not suitable for my preventive sticking but would come in handy more when blister is already forming. Luckily that hasn't happened yet. I also bought and tested Mefix but think it won't work. Adhesion is similar to Kinesio tape but has the drawback of being very inelastic. Because of that there's immediately higher risk it tears off. Also seems water dissolves the glue. I usually stick heels purely preventively and for test I put Kinesio tape on one heel, Mefix on the other and Mefix didn't hold while Kinesio did.

My girlfriend had huge problems with blisters from hiking boots, even from Adidas, especially when going uphill.. I was figuring out somehow where the problem could be... then I bought her Salewa socks at Kibuba and no more problems. So good-good socks should solve the issue. Of course, a hundred people a hundred wonders but I shared my solution, maybe it helps you Good luck

All problems, it seems, are solved by a recognized brand.

denk.com SIL Protect Try this spray. It is a bit more expensive but worth its money. Tested. It is prevention or the beginning of a blister.

Shoes that "break in" to the user, regardless of brand and such is the same with socks. I know someone who tried various "special" socks and in the end was most satisfied with ordinary cotton ones. Everyone has their own "combination". Some even swear by double socks. That's how they taught us in the past (emphasis on the past!).

For shoes it doesn't matter what brand. They must be tightly laced so the foot doesn't "walk" or shift in the shoe. The lace mustn't rub the ankle. Problem with new shoes with stiff sole, such shoe needs lots of km to get used to bending. That's why it blisters the heel. Socks must fit tightly on the foot and as smooth as possible. If walking a lot, even the sock seam starts rubbing. Romana and I recently hiked in Scandinavia, an average of good 40 km per day. One day even 60 km. Of that, I did three days in boots, Romana a bit more. I sometimes turned socks inside out as outer side is smoother. Of course then right sock on left foot and vice versa. We walked 750 km without mentionable blisters. Regards

@ miri - I didn't claim that a recognized brand solves all problems, but it is of huge importance. As Janezs wrote, just the handling and lacing of shoes is of huge importance. She bought footwear at Intersport, there we can't really talk about quality of footwear and as I said or shared my experience, which I saw, the problem solver for her was good socks, thank God. I didn't claim that a good brand is the solver, please. Regards
