We were at the viewpoint about a month ago, and I'm wondering where the little path to the source of Boka is....I mean to the top of the waterfall? Maybe someone knows?

The trail starts at the bridge on the opposite side from the starting point for the viewpoint. The trail is marked and the upper part is secured with a cable. It takes a good hour to walk.

Vacation in Bovec and found time for upper part of Boka waterfall. Path steep, partly exposed and when you think you're there, descent surprises. Boka source is fairy-tale and worth the climb, view to valley also fairy-tale. Recommend proper shoes, not flip-flops or sandals and poles

After Stol above Kobarid decided for Boka source, but not best decision as path after one tour already tiring. Up to about 850m, then descent, that descent to source problematic, fresh landslide above cable, steep path up along secured, also just above source fallen tree and steep unsecured crossing. If someone maintains this path, it's marked, go check and fix if needed before tourist season.

31.10.2023 afternoon first time to Boka waterfall. Rain finally stopped after several days. We said we'd just drive to the bridge and look at it from afar. But when we saw it, it kind of "swept us away" across the bridge and up the marked path. The waterfall is currently very full of water, roaring and showing off in all its beauty. First viewpoint is about 10 minutes from parking lot. There's a spacious wooden viewing platform. Trodden path leads much higher. Easy to follow, caution needed in places, markings quite faded. When returning, the sun illuminated snow-covered peaks above Bovec basin.

31.10.2024: After one year again at the same place, this year waterfall much less watery. No water in the bed of Boka stream. Sunny morning and really pleasant ascent along the ridge, which we knew well from last year's visit. Few markings, and those faded. At the place with the arrow, many go straight up, which we did last year too, but the marked path goes around on the rock ledge and continues on the trodden trail. Nice to look at it eye to eye...
