On Sunday we went with PD Ptuj on a new trail. We started in Branik to the village Pedrovo, which used to have 110 inhabitants, now only 10. The trail is easy, marked; we nicely saw Čaven, to Holy Mountain. Then the ridge from Sinji vrh onwards to Nanos. In Pedrovo we stopped at Mrs. Polona, who told us about the village, church of the Holy Spirit. We went past the hunting hut, onwards towards Štanjel. In between goblin path, blackberries, sunny day and hanging out with cheerful group from Styria. Guide Uroš always ensures good atmosphere. Everything closed on the trail, so we had snack with us. In Štanjel Mr. Kerševan welcomed us with persimmons. We returned to Branik by train, good idea. Together 15 easy km in incredible, almost summer weather. Some blackberries on the trail, but this year not comparable to last year, obviously summer heat harmed it.

Interesting afternoon we walked with Maks. To Pedrovo I didn't even plan. From the railway station in Branik we went on the path under Čuk hill, which I know. I've walked it several times. No views. We went to check that path under the hill. Upon meeting a local, conversation brought up that this path goes to Pedrovo village. Didn't know how much walking to there. Meanwhile Maks and I checked the dry streambed by the path. And continued. Last part steep to village. You reach the house. On descent, chatting with local woman, learned you can take longer path branching off further from the sign, last part flatter. Afternoon sunny. Back at start quite quick.
I thought there would be some water, but there was none.1
