On a wonderfully sunny Sunday I headed to Brinjeva Hill (723 m), located northeast of Prevalje and northwest of Ravne in Carinthia. I chose the starting point at Na Fari settlement near Prevalje, from where it's one hour of pleasant walking to the top, and there are quite a few paths to the summit anyway. At the top is a chapel of St. Cosmas and Damian with two bells, where you can ring for health. Description: http://www.koroska.si/index1.php?site=turinfo&nid=1164&kat=514&lang=1&fir=65 Way of the Cross: The stations of the Way of the Cross wind under the safe shelter of spruces, placed on Broman land. The path runs from the intersection of lands of three farms: Bidrih, Libnik and Broman to the church of St. Cosmas and Damian on Brinjeva Hill. It is 350 m long, stations placed at 25 m distances. Tablets with carvings sized 45x55 cm, from linden wood. Fourteen stations, carvings, work of professor Stanko Lodrant, who was guided only by the essential message of the Way of the Cross, wind under shadows of spruces and beeches. At the start of the path is a bench, where the visitor can rest and the soul soak up the peace of the surroundings and the view of the beauty of Uršlje gora, Strojna and Pece.
