Buying shoes (large size + narrower models...)??

I've had all possible "brands" of hiking shoes and except one Alpine model, they didn't suit my feet. Finally I followed dprap's recommendation (posted some time ago) and bought Grigio dakar trekking shoes at Karal in Domžale, which serve me well so far, no blisters and no back pain Regina

Karal also has a store in Murska Sobota and online sales. But of course, shoes need to be tried before buying. (no, I don't get commission from them, and for now no shoes.) My mom has 4 pairs of theirs (slippers, work and dinner shoes), my aunt 1 pair and my colleague 2 pairs. They are newer on the market, but seem quite comfortable and quality (well, time will tell). Nice feeling when you finally find something for your foot. For me it's Merrell (wide foot, flipper shape).

New on the market? I was already walking in their low shoes 20 years ago. But never bought at Karal.

Lapsus - the company selling them is new.

I discovered them at Karal and also tried them. In this company some are former Alpina employees. One low "Merrell-like" model for everyday use I also wear .

lepenatka: It looks like it's heading that way for me too. I was very satisfied with the Tundra model - until the sole fell off in the middle of the hill. But I myself tried Alpina Iris 630L1 and the result is as follows: - after less than an hour of walking (mostly on flat terrain) blisters on both heels i.e. tendons; - when walking uphill the shoe "hangs" on the tendon, which causes prolonged pain in the tendons and calves; - pressure sores on the inner and outer sides of the foot (although the shoe is nicely wide in the front part); - the insole is hard and doesn't cushion the step - the whole foot hurts; - although the shoe is very high, a real little quarry quickly builds up in it; + not hot in the shoes; + good grip on wet rock; + ok for climbing slabs; + sufficient ankle support; + didn't get soaked in the rain... The next ones will be softer. Best, L
