Camino Brač

We went as a family to Brač to get to know it a bit differently. For starters, we walked four stages, more information about the entire trail at Camino Brač.nasmeh
For the walked stages I can say they mostly follow gravel roads, some on main asphalt roads, very little on forest paths. Trail markers are mostly on the ground in the stage direction, since we also walked some stages in the opposite direction, orientation was more challenging. I recommend downloading the GPS track of the entire trail. We didn't spot any directional signs anywhere, nor info panels of the entire trail in larger towns.
All trail stamps are located in TICs in the towns, which are mostly open on weekdays from 9 to 14, so Milna has its own, Bol has Blaca, Zlatni rat and Bol, Sumartin has Povlja, Sumartin and Selca, and Sutivan has its own.
The entire trail goes from town to town and thus you get to know many interesting places and other attractions along the way.mežikanje
We handled logistics ourselves, so we took a bike along to return to the hike's starting point to get the car.jezik
We walked about half of the trail out of total 158 km, the rest next time, because if you start something, you have to finish it!velik nasmeh

We didn't walk the stages in order nor always fully, so that we could enjoy more as a family, we walked the first stage in two parts and in the opposite direction as described. So one day Milna - Sutivan, I'd say the olive trail, one day Sutivan - Supetar, in my opinion the most promenade part of the entire trail.nasmeh

I walked the longest second stage alone, with an extension to Murvica or rather to the asphalt.wink
After breakfast we drove together from Bol to Milna, took a short walk together in Milna, then I started. First on asphalt and then a long gravel stretch for the first 18 km, when finally the nicer part of the stage comes, descent through the Blace gorge and then a nice forest path to the sea to Farska, where it would be a sin not to take advantage of one nice little bay for a sea refreshment. At the end I also walked the beginning of the third stage, that is the gravel to Murvica.tongue
It was a nice hot day, I didn't meet any hikers on the trail, except in the Blace gorge, the monastery is currently open from 9 to 15, since I arrived later, I didn't spend 8 € on the visit.

The third stage we walked together from Bol to Murvica.
The path climbs from Bol towards Vidova gora and then descends back to the sea, here it would be nicer along the seaside promenade, then mostly on asphalt to Murvica.
In Murvica we descend to a nice beach, then I alone visit the hermitage of Dračeva luka.
I go down to the car, which I had positioned in the morning under the ruins of the monastery, because the parking lot in Murvica is still closed, pick up the remaining family members and we drive nicely back to Bol.jezik
we walked here, we didn't see the Camino Brač info table anywhere1

I left the fourth stage for another time, when I'll descend on foot to Bol.big grin Instead, we as a family also walked the fifth stage in the opposite direction of the signs, i.e. Povlja - Sumartin - Selca.
If we saw no snakes on the other stages, here they were rustling and crawling everywhere, I can say it's a proper snake stage.eek
Otherwise, thanks to the Camino we discovered three new interesting places on Brač.smile
