As a standalone, it's more of a walk than a serious hike. I haven't been up there yet, so I'm adding it and of course a few pics. On the way back also along the gorge of the Čemšenik stream, and a nice morning is concluded. I was here with my son also in spring, when our native lilies were blooming right by the hut.
Čemšenik We park next to the transformer station at the beginning of Kokre village and then across the road to the left past the house on asphalt, which is interrupted for a few meters by macadam, then very new asphalt to the barrier from where we have half an hou1
Čemšenik Higher up from the barrier there are several drinking water intakes. The valley drinks healthy clean mountain water.2

Čemšenik Signposts at the barrier. Right leads to the high mountain farm. To the farm is a good half hour on foot.4
Čemšenik Hut on Čemšenik. It is open on weekends. Today the caretakers arrived up already at twelve. They serve some good venison goulash and strudel.5

Čemšenik The hut is also not without flowers - carnations.7
Čemšenik These are supposed to be Gorenjska ones.8
Čemšenik In spring, right next to the hut on the right side, there was a bed of our native lily.9
Čemšenik Right next to the hut there are also signposts for shorter hikes to Potoška gora, to Javorov vrh or even a bit further.10
Čemšenik The shortest is the short hike to Baba. This is an unmarked pleasant path for a good half hour.11
Čemšenik On the way back, we can descend into the pleasant gorge of the tributary of the Kokra river, the Čemšenik stream.12
Čemšenik The stream already at the end of the gorge. The hike is really suitable for older people who can't walk far anymore and for families with small children. Highly recommended.13

After a year we went on a pleasant sunny morning for a walk to Čemšenik. Carnations are still here as they were four years ago - even Gorenjska carnation is there. Friendly caretakers serve game dishes and even vegetarian ones. They really try. The hut is rented by PD Iskra Kranj. On the way back we descended into the Čemšenik stream gorge. The downward path to the gorge is well lit by ice. We stopped at the bridge where there is a rest for cyclists with a panel of the nearby area. There are benches and a table too.
We leave the vehicle at the transformer.1
To the hut on Čemšenik we have only fifty minutes.2
We reach the hut very quickly.3

If we want to go farther we have more options.5

Haha, yeah especially vižlasto lately velik nasmeh No, I'm not scared, cuz she's super good and doesn't go anywhere, sticks to me like a tick mežikanje If she goes 10m ahead it's crisis already, looks where I am nasmeh Hope it stays that way.

Bojan, it starts with a joke, ends so you can't choose wife as companion anymore but only partner when registering tourist service.

The weather held in the morning without rain, so via Nabrje past Krems to Čemšenik for excellent breakfast nasmeh Surprisingly no crowds velik nasmeh
