Yesterday nice circular path. Starting point Bele vode, on to hut Brunner and bivouac Gorizia. From bivouac continued to Krniška škrbina and left along centenary path and back to Krniška škrbina. From Krniška škrbina descent to hut Corsi, from there along paths 629 and 650 to starting point. Centenary path is nice and interesting, in tunnel good to have good flashlight, the notch itself is very well protected (good to have via ferrata kit and helmet). The tour offers wonderful views, yesterday very few hikers. Nice mountaineer's greeting.

Today I walked the Centenary Path (Sentiero del Centenario). Start behind Lago di Rabel and along the Beleg Potok Valley (path no.625) past Rif. Brunner to Bivacco Gorizia. Ascent to Upper Beleg Potok Notch (Forcella Alta di Riobianco), where the Centenary Path starts, which runs mainly along the southern slopes of Little White Spires (Cime Piccole di Riobianco), sometimes also along the ridge itself. The path is nice and scenic, all protections have been replaced, instead of ladder at the exit from the notch there are now pegs. At the beginning you need to climb a gully without holds, you have to pull yourself up on the slack wire. Descent into the notch is not too demanding, as the vertical part is short, there are enough holds and steps. Descent from the notch is now on pegs. Passage through the tunnel is nothing special, just headlamp obligatory. The path ends at Krniška Škrbina (Forcella del Vallone). I should mention that there are old pitons before the tunnel entrance which suggests that it used to be possible to descend to the south side bypassing the tunnel. With enjoyable pace I walked the path in one hour. Descent on path 625.

The ascent from the notch is now via pegs.

If you visit the beautiful valley of Beleg Potok, you know in advance that you have a nice day guaranteed nasmeh

If you add the Centenary Path and descent to hut Corsi and then descent past attractive pools where you can't just go on without admiring and if the weather favors you with wide views as it was on Sunday, this is really a day for the chosen ones nasmeh

The tour was circular, starting at the parking lot by the bridge over Canale della Trincea stream and ending right there, as before the bridge on return we stepped off the path onto the road.
But really it ended again with swimming in Lago di Rabel. It was still tolerable nasmeh

On Sunday we both headed into this wonderful, solitary mountain world under Visoka Bela Špica, along the picturesque Saxon King's Path nasmeh

Path of numerous wild gullies descending from the Southern Cirque of Beli Potok, which you overcome with the help of countless wires that gently lower you into them and skillfully lead you out.
The most prominent is the Canale della Trincea gully, which at this time enchants also with its pools of water and where you can't just go on. Before entering it, your gaze stops at the white towers rising above the gully outlet and suggesting that you are looking at the face of Visoka Bela Špica.

But the most anticipated was the section under the huge landslide from a couple of years ago, after the path was renovated and reopened. You almost hold your breath as you climb over this part and look back with satisfaction and relief, marveling at how masterfully they actually executed it. But we hurried a bit over this part anyway, just in case nasmeh

When you thus complete both magnificent tours from the title of this page, you realize that with the return to the valley you have actually circled Visoka Bela Špica, the queen of Beli Potok, in a narrow and wider loop.

On the way back, also descent to the shore of Rabel Lake and swimming, as the tour would miss something without this refreshment nasmeh

Hi,

Wondering how long it takes time-wise to go along the centenary path to Corsi and back via the Saxon King's path? Has anyone hiked the centenary path this year? Snow-free?

Answer for malimiha.
With a colleague we did a loop last year from Beli Potok valley along the centenary path to Corsi 4h and from Corsi along Saxon King to Brunner 5h and 1h to start. Total 10h. Saxon King path was exhausting in heat and water at Brunner was the best.
Problem with Saxon King is it's among bushes and scree and really hot in summer. Breeze rare and despite streams gurgling all the way it was insanely hot.

Today I went past Gorizia bivouacs to Upper Beli Potok notch, on Centenary Path, from Krnica notch to Corsi hut and paths 629 and 650 to valley. Some snow below notches; had winter gear but assume doable without. Wonderful, surprisingly solitary loop - today more animal than human.

Today on the centenary path.Helmet and headlamp are mandatory.Nice path,scree fields very tiring for walking.Views wonderful.
