Ceria Merlone and Koštrunove špice

Again one of those tours that stay with you... start at planina Pecol, along the already known unmarked path towards Špik Hude police, where shortly before the summit the Ceria Merlone path branches off to the right. The start is along a narrow grassy trail that leads to Škrbina nad Tratico, and here the path turns between the rocks, where the real “poetry” begins, lasting all the way to the exit from the CM path, as it is routed through purely natural and interesting passages. In between we climbed Špik nad Nosom and Špik nad Špranjo, and descended to Škrbina prednje Špranje. Here the decision falls and we continue on to Koštrunove špice, descend to Škrbina zadnje Špranje and regret the radler at the Corsi hut , because the legs are like chewing gum and the path is still quite long. Then a gentle ascent under the Kapna wall from the Scalini saddle, then another descent past planina Krni dol down to the starting point Pecol The path is very beautiful, scenic, varied and long... for those prone to vertigo I recommend a self-belaying kit on the Ceria Merlone path, the ascent and descent to Koštrunove špice (upper part unmarked-unsecured) is on very steep grass or scree, not recommended when wet. Today we didn’t meet anyone on the entire path, but we had company from ibex and chamois, and lower down of course the plump marmots
Another beautiful, windy and not too hot day passed somewhere a bit higher up
