Circular above Movraška vala

Idea from the times when Corona masters hadn't yet broken Slovenia into untouchable little gardens. Current conditions can be even nicer due to the arrival of spring; nothing else is to be expected.

Our goal was to circle the deep Movraška valley (Movraška vala, Smokavska vala) along nicely walkable ridges with the only major descent towards the Croatian border at Mlini. For this circular variant, we chose the starting point in Kubed. The path is enjoyable, with little elevation gain that the lengths successfully compensate for big grin

. In total, it came to 23 km and 700 m of elevation gain. Besides the nicely marked summits on one and the other side of the valley, we also visited Veli Badin, for me one of the nicest overhangs in our area smile

Let me mention the significant difference in the condition of the markings now and a few years ago. Back then, it was hard to notice anything useful; today, everything is nicely marked for hikers and cyclists. Praise to those responsible for this progress.
