Saturday was perfect for it (clear all day), so I headed from Podutik via Toško Čelo and Topol to Grmada, didn't meet a soul up to its top, then to Tošč from there via Veliki Babnik to Osovnik, where there were already hikers for a bus, descent to the valley, at Legastja then up the hill to Sv. Jakob and via Katarina back home. It added up to 40 km and over 1800 positive elevation meters. Weather super for me, except on descent from Grmada to Gont my fingers got a bit cold... On Osovnik and Jakob ideal for martinčkanje, wind started only on Katarina.

Wow bravo, that's something. How long did you take for this hike, 10 hours?

Today from Sora to Osolnik via Govejek to Legastje, then to Sv. Jakob to Katarina and on to Toško čelo and descent to Podutik - sunny, windy, cold and above all nice. To avoid confusion with the third picture, I missed that it's towards Karavanke, we all know it's not true, typing error

Just walking (with a bit of running between Tošč and Osovnik and from Osovnik into the valley, of course only where it was downhill ) was 6.5 hours, with "sunbathing" it's worth 8. Original plan was from Osovnik to Loka and bus to Šentvid there, but the weather was too nice for that.

Let me revive the above loop around Polhograjci. It'll take 5 to 6 hours, if you stamp at all huts and farm tourisms even much more. You'll measure around 1100m elevation and walk 20km. Not bad, especially with unstable forecasts. And you can always shorten with descent, extend too if you feel like. Whole path marked, PD Medvode took care of passability (ice did lots of damage), just at start a bit trail trimming. Yesterday's route like this: parking and lunch at Legastje, from there up to Dom na Govejku, via Iga to Tošč, on to Gonte and Polhograjska grmada, to Katarina and Sv. Jakob, then back down to Legastje. Meadows blooming, including irises and Carniolan lilies.

Quite an unfortunate gesture - it can happen to them in the opposite direction too.

In Polhograjcih, only once quickly to Grmada before the storm. Today, however, a much larger loop. For the starting point, we chose the parking lot in front of Mercator in Polhov Gradec. The first goal was Grmada via Mala Grmada. From there we headed towards sv. Katarina and sv. Jakob. The next goal was Dom na Govejku and a short break before continuing to the nearby Osolnik. From there still to Tošč and, since I didn't find another connection, descent to the castle park in Polhov Gradec and ascent also to Polhograjska gora aka sv. Lovrenc. We had everything, from sun, wind, light sleet and rain. The path took us about 10 hours. It added up to nearly 36 km and 2400 elevation gain.

I too on Saturday a bit around the Polhograjci and a bit in Škofjeloško hribovje. The weather wasn't sunny, it even drizzled a bit, but still super, at least not too hot. I have the opportunity, so I start right from home - Škofja Loka, continue to Osolnik via Gontarska planina to Iga, then to Tošč, descent to village Selo and further to Sv. Ožbolt, descent to Sv. Andrej and final descent to Škofja Loka. Spring flowers in full bloom . It added up to just under 25.5km and a bit over 1350m elevation gain. I ran most of it alone, as a hiker you need about 8 hours for the route (with breaks).]]>
