Good evening,
today my husband and I were on a trip.. disappointed to the end. From Koroška we drove to Ljubljana and from Jezero set off to Krim.. Nice path, but when we arrived at the goal, it wasn't so great anymore. The hut was closed. Middle of the season. No notice anywhere. When I checked on the web before, it said it was open from 6-22.. every day. It was really sad. Luckily we had enough water, otherwise I don't know how it would have been.. How is something like that possible? It really didn't seem right to me.. I know managers have to go to the valley for supplies+, but work can be organized differently... In Koroška it's different... And Krim is so praised, like Ljubljana's Olympus....

If you were up there today, Monday, then you're getting upset unnecessarily. On the PZS website it clearly says the hut is open all days except Monday.

It also says the same on the PD Podpeč-Preserje website.
Quite a few mountain huts have such opening schedules.
Even in Koroška you have huts closed on Mondays, e.g. Kremžarca, Košenjak, Maribor hut etc.

Katarina, if you're disappointed because you drove an hour and a half far to Olympus without checking before about opening, because it's all nicely written everywhere, next time at least don't spit on caretakers, because they're not guilty of your sloppiness, a day off they can have too like every pub owner. Working hours are on the door, unless you pulled it down yourself.

Obviously some go to the mountains because of huts. Sometimes one is too hasty, it happens. Superficial reading, own ideas, if it's summer everything must be open, caretaker can't rest or go shopping. There are so many paths that he can't hang a sign on each that the hut is closed on Mondays, because hikers and visitors eat and drink a lot, need to refill stocks, clean the hut when there's a bit more quiet and they don't trample while cleaning. Next time more luck and satisfaction, also using internet news.

Potpodnoge- yes really, we go and like to drink and eat at hut, precisely solidarity to people working there trying. Not us who bring all from valley then eat in hut and pig out.. We have different priorities. Like to eat good. Huts usually good food too.. Obviously in league with manager defending him...
Just this, on Peca ideal offer all top during Abraham couple management and got spoiled..
