In the upper part of the Pesarina valley, below forc. Lavardet, we head to the Mimoias pasture. This time something quite unknown is on the plan, although we have hiked around there a few years ago. No marked path leads to the mountain group called Cresta di Enghe, Marjeta dug up somewhere that it's possible to certain peaks from Elbel pass and we went from the pasture to passo Elbel. There we searched for any trace and found a cairn pointing to the eastern slopes. The grass was initially quite tolerable, higher steeper too, no path, a cairn every quarter; when we got under almost unclimbable rocks, at some point we found another cairn that leads us along a nice ledge more to the northern side of the mountain; follows some cramped and exposed ledges that bring us to the central gully, "we named it toboggan it was so smoothed"; there on the right a new cairn already invites us into the gully that doesn't exceed grade I climbing, at the top ends with peak 2197 and sheer north wall. No choice but to return down the gully to the cairn, then with some searching enter a more left gully which is also around grade I there; at the top follows nice short passage to the north side, there again enter short gully that has grade II spot somewhere in the middle, higher brings us to the top of peak 2365; in the cairn at the top hidden box with logbook from 2003, entries for about 10 pages, no Slovenes spotted. Towards west along the ridge then we find even some faded marks which somehow got lost, terrain also not exactly for a stroll, so we decide best to return ascent route, which we did and descended to passo Elbel and to Mimoias pasture. Followed visit to Razzo pasture (cheese, salami, beer) and through always beautiful Sauris back to Tolmezzo and home.
