Since I like less trodden paths, especially if they are neighbors, I set myself the goal to first process the supposed Bohinj virgins. To my misfortune, I searched in vain or insufficiently for data on paths to the rarely visited Black Mountain, from which I also didn't spot a large number of paraglider takeoffs. So no one thinks lewdly, I add that I'm writing about the overgrown hills above Bohinjska Bistrica, from which paragliding takeoffs haven't happened yet (or very rarely?). The fact nevertheless remains: above Ravharska planina the world becomes more wild and pristine. Especially if you're a chicken and hiking alone! Paths and trails get lost and it's time for bushwhacking. For a while I still thought I was following some little trail, but it got lost so many times, either in undergrowth or among rocks, that I "switched on my own nose" and followed some kind of passages between VERY steep rocks and grasses directly to the summit. In fact, I wouldn't be lying much if I said it would be wise to use hands in a few places. VIDEO REPORTAGE is here.

We visited the pathless north-east neighbor of Črna prst again today. From Vsi Ravne via ski slope Kobla II to upper road. After less than a kilometer we left the road and headed to the north side of the mountain through really nice spruce forest. It always fascinates us searching for easiest passages, direction is known anyway - up. Only below the summit, at the end of forest line, we hit snow. Incredibly little snow this year for this time of year. Ridge to summit snow-covered on Bohinj side, on south side completely bare. Back we descended via old, more or less abandoned hunting path to planina za Črno goro. Again interesting search for path remains and passages. On this mountain we never met anyone before and today the same Couple of pics: http://www.petersfoto.si/thumbnails.php?album=datebrowse&date=2017-04-09 http://www.petersfoto.si

Today again via north pathless side to top of Črna gora. Snow starts somewhere at 1200m. Typical for this time of year that summit on Bohinj side still quite snow-free, on Primorska side completely bare. Descent to Planina za Črno goro. Hunting path less traceable every year. The thickness of snow cover a bit above the planina, where the stream originates that flows to the planina, surprised us. Snow up to 2 meters in places, in the planina itself only half. Met no one, except roe deer, chamois, woodpecker, bush warbler and as usual adders. Pic or two: http://www.petersfoto.si/thumbnails.php?album=datebrowse&date=2018-04-29 http://www.petersfoto.si

I don't know if one is better, but I think both are understandable to everyone.

To Pl. Za Crno goro, then followed cow trail along the stream, but I knew I'd go too far left. More correctly would be above the hut into the forest and to the forest ridge. I carried an ice axe with me, which came in handy in the steep forest terrain and on steep grass (could go without but it's steep). At the top in short sleeves, looking to the other side at Šoštar (Kontni vrh). Of course went there, descended first along the ridge where I came up and then a bit my own way more left but a steep forest clearing awaited me, ice axe came in handy, and lower joined the approach direction. To the pl. and up towards Šoštar. Didn't know where to leave the marked path, because no visible trails except game. So I turned somewhere towards the ridge. Wasn't cold but put on long pants. Barely made it through the bushes to the top, first time up there. Nice views. Something new. From the top saw to the east that some bushes were sawn at 1m height and went there, got lower under the bush belt and through scrub direct down to the marked path.
