Already last time, when we were climbing towards Osolnik, we were looking for this mountain with our eyes and somehow it didn't seem anything special to us. But the path and the summit pleasantly surprised us today nasmeh

Hi Ločanka, could you please give a bit more info on Dolinska gora. I'm interested where you started, looking at the map it's not clear to me. Thanks and many more nice discoveries, so close yet so unknown. Best, Marija

Hi,

Dolinska gora can be approached from two sides.

If we park at the bridge over Hrastnica, we can continue along the road and after about 500m turn left into Kozjakov graben. Soon after the turnoff to Guzlja on the right, we go sharply left onto a wide path that leads us in zigzags to the ruins (top in the picture). From there straight ahead, down and then up to the "saddle" in the ridge. There left and along the path in 5-10min to the top.

Or turn left at the bridge towards Sv. Barbara and then past the quarry and house on gravel to the right turnoff (where the stream flows out). This path also brings us to the saddle, then right to the top.

Since there are quite a few turnoffs, it's good to check the map on hribi.net for better orientation (e.g. open the trip to Sv. Barbara).

Ločanka, if there's any info on these unusual ruins that offer a very interesting glimpse into some old estate and its rooms, I'd appreciate it.

If the maps are to be believed, the farm, now in ruins, was called Jamnik. Yesterday my wife and I visited it starting from Kozjekov graben, ten days ago from the quarry with a colleague on a loop via Osolnik.

There's another ascent option to Dolinska gora, namely via a steep hunting path.
The starting point is the already mentioned approach past the quarry and house. After the right turnoff (at the stream outlet) we continue along the stream, but only to the first cart track leading right. We follow it briefly until it levels out and slopes slightly. At that point we need to climb left above the path and along the clearing find the at first very poorly visible hunting trail, which then in nice zigzags more or less along the ridge leads straight to the top.

Marko, thanks for the info on the trail start. The hunting trail is visible from the top of Dolinska gora.

We did a loop tour, up one path, down another. But it seemed to us that the first one had changed a bit since last visit, much less trodden than before. Weather wasn't the best, but the tour was nice anyway. And useful too, as we picked some dandelions and wild garlic nasmeh
