Dosso Alto - 2065 m (near Lake Lago d'Idro)

The area of Lake Lago d'Idro is quite new to us and that's why we explore the peaks and paths around there with even greater pleasure. The whole thing isn't too far from Lake Garda and even closer to Lago di Ledro, where we were staying this time. It took us just 45 minutes to the starting point.

We parked on the edge of the ancient village of Bagolino. Its narrow streets and the huge church in the central part are something definitely worth seeing. In the morning we just drove through it, on the return we visited it on foot and enjoyed feasting our eyes on the old village core.

The trail start was calm. We found the 407 markers and slowly ascended towards the hamlets above the valley in the beautiful colors of late autumn. After a few marked junctions we turned left at the turnoff for path 407V and climbed up the steep slopes to the grassy ridge. The well-marked path reliably brought us to Dosso Alto, the highest peak around here. The views are really extensive, many already conquered peaks we saw from a completely different perspective.

There are several descents, but we as per old habit made a proper circular variant. Following 3V markers we descended to the Dosso Alto pasture and returned via 402 on the opposite side of the ascent. That means a pinch of road, some wilderness, even more cart track, but in the end we won velik nasmeh

. Over Ponte Romanterra we climbed back to Bagolino village and took time to explore it. The starting point wasn't far anymore and satisfied we finished this adventure. More in the photo story ...
