Despite the morning fog, a beautiful winter day was forecast, perfect for a hike to the nearby hill, out of the foggy valley, so we set off towards Hom, 605 m; starting point at Gasilec in Matke; less than an hour of leisurely path along the road, enjoying beautiful views and photographing, brought us to Dragov's hut at the top of Hom, which was basking in warm sun rays. Ascents are gentle, not strenuous, suitable for family afternoon outings. Even though the hut is supposedly closed, the caretaker reassured us already on the way, as he was diligently "salting the road" on the bends, so we could warm up and get something to quench our thirst; he really welcomed us smiling, nice smoke from the chimney and invited us to warm up; since the sunshine suited us, we preferred to stay outside, and he kindly brought us to the bench even a "cushion" for under the butt, and great blueberries, and on top he even explained the surrounding hills; really worthy of all praise velik nasmeh

; thanks, we haven't met such a friendly and hearty caretaker for a long time!! And some pictures to tempt you to Hom, as the view of the near and far surroundings is really excellent..

Haven't had days off at work for several days and the weekend will be working too, no time for anything concrete. It's getting dark and the younger ones are bored so the idea "let's go to Hom" comes up. We take batteries and we're already under Hom and quickly to the hut and look, they're preparing for a closed group and we get hot tea. It fits great, strong wind and light drizzle. jezik

Yesterday on a pleasant afternoon trip from Pongrac to Dragov's hut. Mostly shady and occasionally steep path, higher up nice views.

Apple orchards, to the right migojniška Marija Lurška.

The tower of St. Magdalene already visible.

Views open to Kamniško-Savinjske Alpe with Raduha, Golte, Smrekovec, Uršljo goro, far right in the back also to Koralpe with Golica.

Kotečnik, Malič, Gozdnik and the edge of Kamnik.

Celjska kotlina with Konjiška gora and Bočem in the background.

Sv. Magdalena, Dragov dom is right by the church.

Straight view to Celjska koča, left Bukovica, right next to it in the back Donačka gora.

Today family trip from Griže to Hom, descent towards Šešče and then back to Griže. The path is well marked and normally passable.
It was a nice sunny day nasmeh
