Dramlje Mountain Trail

...nasmeh The first exit from the highway between Maribor and Celje under the ,,tunnels,, is of course Dramlje. Some time ago I stumbled upon nasmeh info that there is the Dramelj Mountain Trail connecting the area between Dramlje and Žička kartuzija...
....In January I quickly hiked half of it approx. 14km through Straža na Gori in snow and fog on a preview...Yesterday Saturday return and clear goal to hike the entire trail...Started at 12:30 in Špitalič village as it's logistically closest and in good three hours hiked the trail on the route Špitalič-Žička kartuzija-Slemene-Svetelka-Dramlje-Vodule-Sv. Uršula-Grušce-Špitalič....The route is very interesting - terrain mixed: asphalt, gravel, forest and meadow paths...On Saturday it was a mix of snowy-icy, muddy and dry paths...Total 18 kilometers and less than 800 elevation meters...
... Dramelj Mountain Trail is excellently accessible and due to the distance suitable for walking or running even ,,after the morning shift,,...Definitely recommend.
...As a curiosity, I mention that part of the Dramelj trail also follows the 14th Division Trail and Slomšek Pilgrimage Path...
...Highlights: Špitalič settlement, Žička kartuzija, birthplace of national hero Miloš Zidanšek, Dramlje settlement, church of Sv. Uršula on Vodule, slope in Grušce...

...nasmehPresumably - but I don't know when yet repeat with mountain bike...

I'm interested if the path is marked because I can't find it on the portal. Can you mark it, take photos, add description as a new path and I think it would be interesting for many others too

Today Monday hiked the entire Dramelj Mountain Trail from starting point Špitalič...Since Sunday was pleasant for hiking, added a section from Spodnje Slemene to Sv. Tomaž nad Vojnikom and back to Spodnje Slemene...Neighbor Vinko joined me and while chatting about this and that and observing playful autumn colors in nature along the path, at an easy pace we quickly concluded back in Špitalič. Conditions for hiking pleasant...Today connected Dramelj Mountain Trail with section to Sv. Tomaž nad Vojnikom 444m and back into one complete and clear trail...Many locals along the path were doing autumn work in fields, vineyards, orchards, forests...

03.02.2013 hiked the Dramelj Mountain Trail from starting point Špitalič. Dramelj Mountain Trail is definitely an excellent choice for a glimpse into the area between Žička kartuzija and Dramlje or into the lower hills somewhat south of the peaks or massif of Konjiška gora. Suitable point after Saturday rain and allows quick progress. Most prominent points definitely Žička kartuzija and Sv. Uršula which somehow mark this trail and also the XIV Division trail and Slomšek Pilgrimage Path which partially follow the DPP route. Trail well marked, partially in snow and mud today. Between Dramlje and Špitalič in the second part occasionally annoying north wind. Met no one, trail mežikanje ,,lives a quieter life,, but will mežikanje ,,come alive,, already on Saturday...PD Dramlje. Yes pleasant afternoon, nothing else! No need for photos as today's scenery was identical to the first photo gallery above.

In light snowfall and temperature around freezing, no wind and a few millimeters of snow on old base for nasmeh pleasant atmosphere between Kraberk in the east and Stare Slemene in the west from starting point Žička kartuzija easily hiked mežikanje somehow in three tasks. First time to do activity above AC tunnel Pletovarje whose tubes are over 700 meters long. Pletovarje is the second double-tube tunnel direction Maribor-Celje. Second - connected Dramelj Mountain Trail and Loško-zbelovsko Mountain Trail for the first time on 3.50 km connection Kraberk-Pletovarje-Jazbine-Grušce. Total in full activity would be approx. 45-47 km and 2000 elevation meters and definitely a challenge for the future since I now know both routes perfectly.Third - the connection was the last missing section for me on the route Slovenske Konjice-Rogatec via eastern peaks of Karavanke...between Konjiška gora-Boč-Plešivec-Donačka gora-Maclje. In Grušce area also ascent to two peaks - points practically right on the path namely 575m Babček and 601m Zidarično. Continuing to the far northwest of Dramelj Mountain Trail to the highest point at Kumšek farm for partial circular finish back to Žička kartuzija. Trail partially snowy and also partially muddy.

Yesterday the route from Ponikve towards Dramelj hills was also a junction with the Dramelj Mountain Trail. This is at the Vodule junction directly below the church of Sv. Uršule...SOURCE. This part is also the Slomšek path, which continues towards Žička kartuzija via Grušc. Continuing west along the path to the center of Dramlje or the church of Sv. Marija Magdalena, where the 14th division trail joins...It would be interesting to ,,reverse,, this mountain trail with start and end in Ponikve. The whole combination is already a decent length of 30 km and the elevations nicely accumulate higher in Dramelj hills...Definitely maybe sometime in the plan or an idea for someone...On the return to Ponikve still three smaller sections off the main trail for short terrain exploration, namely in Šedina, Razborje and towards Ponikve center itself. There was some time and why not use it with the colleague who was there...Light snow, temperature around freezing and enough natural light despite translucent cloudiness due to the moon which was at full power yesterday...

Dramelj trail is quite an unknown based on the number of entries on this page. I knew about it for some time but avoided it a bit due to abundance of roads. Mistake velik nasmeh. Turned out to be one of the nicer circular trails in these parts, worth extending to nearby Stolpnik. This is area of hills and valleys, vineyards and wine cellars, all nicely interwoven mostly with gravel roads and mountain paths. Markings plenty everywhere, almost impossible to get lost. Total came to 27 km and 1400 elevation. In conclusion … hiked with pleasure, we'll return nasmeh.

In a short distance along the Dramelj Mountain Trail between St. Elijah and St. Mary Magdalene in the Dramlje settlement. It was hot and slightly muggy too and from Pohorje and Konjiska Mountain the first thunderstorm clouds were already zavijanje z očmi,,rolling,, into the lower world of the Dramelj hills...

After a few years we visited the Dramelj Mountain Trail again with the addition of Stolpnik Peak. This time we walked here for the second time and although there's nothing particularly new I can still say it's one of the nicer trails in these parts. The Dramelj one is just right demanding, pace evenly distributed, at the same time scenic and also runs on the sunny side of the hills. Highly recommend nasmeh.

Coordinates of the starting point ( Dramlje - cemetery ) : 46°16'24.5"N 15°23'21.4"E
We drive into Dramlje and park in front of the plots for eternal rest1
The weather forecast is accurate, the east of the country is bathed in sunshine2
Drameljska turns right here. Because of GPS I don't pay special attention to the signpost3
Here are beautiful places and to top it off they are on the sunny side :)4
Nevertheless, it's freezing, barely a few degrees above zero5
We are just passing by a small zoo6
Almost all hills are inhabited, everywhere you find some vineyard terrace7
We stride past hunters gathering in the village. They look at us a bit strangely, we greet and go our way8
At this house, fighters of the 14th Division also stamped :)9
Soon we leave the original Drameljska and make a detour towards Stolpnik10
The path is pleasant, and the sun has finally warmed the air11
Soon we cross the village Kamna gora12
Towards Stolpnik, however, the path turns uphill and doesn't let up for a long, long time13
A bit by markings, a bit on our own, we reach the top with the huge tower14
Stolpnik is at 1012 m the highest peak of Konjiška gora, the tower adds another 25 m to it15
View down to the locked bivouac16
Not this not that, something for everyone :)17
We two continue in the direction of Žička kartuzija18
At the three crosses19
Follows some overgrown cart track and a steep descent into the valley20
Žička kartuzija. Here we join the Drameljska pot again21
The building is open to visitors, the inn Gastuž is also open22
Follows some asphalt all the way to Špitalič, which was once a hospital (hospital) as part of the charterhouse23
Also the very special church of the Visitation of Mary from 1190 is part of those times24
In the village we turn right and steeply climb up to the panoramic ridge25
A little more and soon we will be on the other side of the hill26
There is sun and as usual for these areas … vines :)27
A few years ago we rested here three of us. These days it's exactly the anniversary when friend Slavko said goodbye forever28
The day is short, shadows already long. We must hurry …29
The last ascent, this time to Sv. Uršula30
Church of Sv. Uršula and the old sacristan's house next to it31
It is now converted into a mountain hut. Upstairs closed, basement open32
Evening sun. Everything glows in wonderful scarlet colors33
Last farewell of the day. Just a short minute and darkness will embrace us34
At the starting point. Since this is a more secluded parking area, the neighbor's cat guarded our car for us :)35
GPS track of the walked path. This time it came to 25 km and 1300 m of ascent36
