Second time done the night hike from Pasja ravan. Condition was better this year, so fatigue within normal limits, just a bit short on sleep. Given the ever increasing number of hikers, organizers should in my opinion rethink the execution of the hike itself. I mean keeping hikers at the rest points, as we got quite cold and probably even caught colds. At the end of the hike there was consequently a big crowd at the confirmation. Otherwise Dražgoše will probably see me again. It's a unique experience!

Five Pomurcians participated for the second time in the mass hike of 607 hikers to Dražgoše. This hike is really a special experience. You leave home at 17:00 and return at the same time the next day. The length of the Pasja ravan Dražgoše trail is 31km; 6.7km and about 450m ascent is an addition from the village Log-Visoko to Pasja ravan, where the actual start of the hike was. Only about 50 hikers walked this addition, who came by bus from Škofja Loka to Log, the others started at Pasja ravan. Some photos at:http://www.pdmaticams-drustvo.si/

@heinz Happy 2013!!! Yes, it's true. We're in the year two thousand thirteen. The world didn't start on 25.6.1991 but much much earlier. @heinz surely it wasn't your great-grandpa and great-grandma who fooled you, but dad and mom. As an analogy, so you'll understand it more easily.

First time on the night hike Železniki-Ratitovec-Dražgoše. Really something new and unforgettable. Omojcej I completely agree with you about that holding back hikers at control points for rest, we also froze properly. Probably in case of heavier rain, if we had to trudge through snow it would be completely different. Mukica I see we were in the same group (Jolanda).

The point of holding at control points is supposed to be that the group arrives together in Dražgoše at approximately the set time. At least that's what I was told. Unfortunately, it wasn't fated for me to participate in the hike this year

GregorC You're right. First, congratulations to the organizers and all participants-winners of the hike. But I'll also write my observation and the related suggestion. If the PD Škofja Loka guides regulated the walking speed, this "cooling" waiting wouldn't be necessary. I understand the guides, of course, based on my own experiences. The reason is the so-called guide syndrome, which knows two walking speeds: - fast-faster and almost running happens when the crowd "breathes down the guide's neck". In this case the guide only accelerates the speed to the end of his abilities. - slow walking is the result of hikers lagging behind the guide. Every time he looks back and sees the distance increasing, he slows down so they can catch up. Despite it being very hard to brake such a crowd, they should find a way to do it, because now on some sections it's literally "horse races".
