how did the trees on Jelovica fare with it, any better because higher up, or also there iced and broken?

Many trees are broken (glaze ice + lots of snow). Very dangerous

Today my colleague and I visited Dražgoška gora. It is considered the house mountain of Dražgoš. From the starting point we were there in half an hour. The path was completely dry today.

Last year we missed Dražgoška gora with the group, then it lingered in thoughts and on Sunday we succeeded. Seven of us, followed the leader's idea. We started in Nemilje village, a bit beyond Besnica near Kranj. To Jamnik marked 50 min, great viewpoint. No wonder full moon photos here... view to Karavanke and KSA unique, especially in Sunday morning weather. From Jamnik to Bela peč, another hour.
Continued on unmarked but partly marked path to Britmanca. Peak above Železniki some locals don't know, extremely nice, panoramic, thanks leader. Then descent to main goal Dražgoška gora, nice view to Železniki, Ratitovec, Stari vrh.... Returned on other marked path to parking, partly towards Lajše, then towards Mohorja to Podblice, down to Nemilje. Interesting loop with four main points, 840m elevation, 19km. Without Ločanka's Britmanca photos would forget January winter idyll this year... great.
