Dry hillocks and hiking trails in Primorska

Hello. Since I'm enthusiastic about hiking and mountains myself, but currently due to chemotherapy treatment and resulting fatigue I can't handle bigger efforts, I'm looking for ideas for shorter hikes in Primorska (because I assume there's more dry ground there, I've had enough snow for this year). So I'll be happy for any suggestions of trails with no more than 300-400 m ascent. Something similar to the path to Beli križ above Strunjan (not necessarily coastal paths).

There are quite a lot of walking options. If we go further in one direction, we can combine the return with a bus that runs frequently between coastal towns or turn back earlier if we decide so. Along the paths there are often benches and cafes where we can rest. In the hinterland there is not much traffic, a walk on some side asphalt road is not so disturbing. In nice autumn, winter and spring weather, it's really nice and often scenic on these paths. The coastal world is not just beaches, different paths reveal beautiful nature and curiosities that we haven't seen and known before. Some ideas: 1. Sečovlje - walk through the old salt pans. 2. Portorož - along the coast to Seča. 3. Portorož - Piran. 4. Strunjan - Fiesa (path above Salinero) - Piran. 5. Hotel Belvedere - path past the hotel to Strunjan. 6. Koper - Izola (coastal path closed to traffic). 7. Ankaran - along the path and road over the "hill" to Milje. 8. Opčine - Napoleon's path. 9. Barkovlje - beautiful coastal path to Miramare Castle. 10. Pivka Military History Park - Šilentabor. 11. Sečovlje - Korte. 12. Pomjan - Koštabona. 13. Marezige - Boršt. 14. Marezige - Glem. If you find one of these ideas for yourself, it will make me happy. Be well.

Last year, the Sežana Mountaineering Association published a mountaineering guide titled "Vremščica, Brkini and Kras" which details 114 kilometers of hiking trails in this area, sights and recommendations for access and returns to starting points using public transport. The area where the described hiking trails run is literally dry all winter, because there are no big elevation differences and walking the described paths is not very strenuous. The guide can be purchased (they also send it by post) at the PD Sežana seat, Srebrniceva 1 in Sežana. Office hours are on Thursdays from 4 to 5 pm. Tel. is (05) 730 01 14 or email sezana.pd@gmail.com. The price of the guide is 5 EUR.
