Even when dry there's quite some walking on asphalt, now even more so. All these footpaths are deep in snow today (half a meter and more) and it's not certain that it will all be trampled by Sunday.

Aha, thanks for this. It seemed to me that it would be something like that, good that I asked before messing up with the trampling.

The biggest problem isn't trampling if you know where to step. On this path markings are already a bit lacking in places even when dry. Now all under snow and someone not knowing the area could have orientation issues. Maybe by Sunday some trampled, probably better to wait a bit. Good luck.

Dragon is right, but you can choose a shorter variant. From Žiri direction more options to Sivka. Descriptions on PZS, current conditions on this link too - Camera from hut at Mrzlk: Hut on Mrzlem vrh. Good luck

Today we went to Ermanovec from Cerkno via Planina pri Cerknem. To Planina path BP, higher up first firm frozen snow, then snow sinking most of the way as not trodden except one pair of footprints (sinking too). Snowshoes would have been useful, we were without so almost 3h to Ermanovec. Back nicely on the road to Planina then marked footpath to Cerkno. Top nice view sunny, a bit windy, met 5 people.
