Firstov rep (1002 m) and Loška stena (875 m)

Last Sunday in August I climbed into the fairly wild world above the Upper Kolpa Valley, specifically to Firstov rep and Loška stena. On the entire trail, except in the villages, I didn't meet anyone, but all the more animals. I didn't meet a bear, but there were two snakes, one on a rock at the top of Loška stena, the other on the path from Firstov rep to Loška stena, both unfortunately left too quickly to photograph them. There were many birds, I think ravens, butterflies, spiders...
Best, Tadej

Are you a fan of cycling and nature? Then don't miss the video where I head by bike to Loška stena, one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Slovenia. In the video you'll see how I climbed to Firstov rep (1002 m), where I enjoyed the wonderful view of the Kolpa river valley bordering Croatia. Then I descended along a forest path to get as close as possible to Loška stena (875 m), which offers a spectacular view of the surrounding hills and Gorski Kotar. In the video you'll also learn some interesting facts about this area, which was once called the Swiss of Slovenia. In this part of pristine nature you'll hardly meet a human, more likely encounter some animal. The video is 4K quality, so you can experience all the details and colors of this magical landscape. Don't forget to share the video with your friends if you liked it. Thanks for watching.

In the framework of the youth mountaineering camp in Ribjek, I visited my son for a couple of days for his birthday and took a little walk around the area with them.nasmeh
On the first day, we climbed from the Strma Reber pass to Firstov rep and the edge of Loška stena, continued to Cerk and back to the starting point.
On the second day, I walked alone from Osilnica to the source of the Kolpa and back.
On the last day, we went from the camp to Bezgarska planina or Šajbnik and back.mežikanje
Interesting paths along the Kolpa, but they don't have much traffic.jezik
