Yesterday May 1st my son and I set off from home towards Trojan. We started at 4.50, still in the dark to Bukovca, followed by a very steep ascent to Gozdnik. Descent to the foot of Mrzlica was just right, at the top a little before ten the fun already began. Towards Podmeja we pushed through the crowd of oncoming hikers, from Podmeja to Sveta planina it was peaceful again. Here we planned lunch, but the inn was of course closed. Luckily a friendly lady at the mountain hut Vrhe thawed goulash for us. We still had the hike to the highest point on our route, Črni vrh, then across the crowded Čemšenika planina to Trojan, where the ordered limousine picked us up at 17.10. All together it added up to a round 38km, we overcame 2400 elevation meters, with stops it took a good 12 hours. The path is very picturesque in places, from the path to Gozdnik beautiful views open to the south and north side several times, Zasavje is always in the palm of the hand, nothing beats the fantastic view of Krvavica on the way to Črni vrh. But the path from Mrzlica to Sv. planina drags on and especially from Prvine to Trojan, where we missed the path (no markers) and did some extra km through the forest.

Bravo! Very long and especially beautiful tour. These ends are really beautiful. Especially of course the area around Krvavica and views from that end Safe steps further! Regards, Ben
