Today we visited Kucelj and Veliki rob, which are covered with auricles and marmots. The weather developed from cloudy this morning into a quite nice sunny day with little wind. Nice hike, for which you need to take time because of all the beauties along the path.nasmeh

16.5.2019. A somewhat differently planned and hiked tour across the Čavensko pogorje. Luckily no rain. By bus at 6.30 from Nova Gorica to the place Cesta pri Ajdovščini. From Lokavec to the hut on Čavn. Then to windy Kuclj. To Veliki Rob, where it was less windy. From there to Krnica and to Kopitnik. Along the marked path to the natural window Skozno and past Ravnica to Nova Gorica at the starting point. It added up to 29 km and 1600 m ascent. Not bad for mid-mountains.

Darinka and Marjan, bravo, for mid-mountains you've done and described a nice tour.

Thanks Miran. Marjan walked this path last year. It's quite long. I was a bit worried if I'd manage because of a blistered foot, but no problems. They've renewed the marks from Kopitnik towards Skozno window, they were faded. Path more visible now.

On Sunday with better half we did a circular path Predmeja - Srednječavenska path - steeply to Veliki rob - Kucelj - Hut on Čavnu - Predmeja.
Path is normally walkable and well marked, just steep more homemade with blue paint.jezik
It was a nice hot day.nasmeh
