Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has gone from the Krnska Lakes via Planina Golobar, over Krnčica, e.g.... How is the access from Krnsko Lake to Krnčica, is climbing gear needed? lp

From Krnsko Lake to Krnčica and further to Planina Golobar there are beaten paths where you don't need climbing gear. If you're really going from the lake, I recommend flippers!

A nice hike to Krnčica is from Drežniške Ravne. But without fog, so you don't get lost. From pl. Zapleč a marked path leads. Don't know how it is this year but last year it was followable. Then continue to Srednji vrh, which is panoramic but less visited and to Krn. Descend to Krnskim and to Lepena, of course if possible with two vehicles, it's feasible, say in two days.

@patriot, where exactly, e.g., does the Planina Polje towards Krn variant have access to Krnčica?

but in autumn not in this heat, you can overnight in the hut on Krn or at the lake, October is a suitable time for these tours, lots of interesting things to see,
