From Ojstrica to Grintovec

08.08.2013 hiked this trail. Started at Pod Beli and climbed to Ojstrica via Presedljaj, then via Škarje to Planjava and Kamniško sedlo. There I treat myself to vegetable soup (recommended). Follows ascent to Brana, some photos and off to Turska gora. Despite walking in shade it's already quite hot. At Turska gora snack and on towards Rinke. At Rinke short chat with nice couple, and on to Skuta. Now it's very hot. Below Skuta I refill water supplies (snowfield), then ascent and at top few minutes rest and snack. Continue to Dolgi hrbet, on the way also pop to Štruco. Path over Dolgi hrbet drags like chicken guts, all time very hot and very windy. During ascent to Grintovec summit I decide to shorten the tour. Original plan included ascent to Kočna and return via Dolce to Kokrško sedlo and Izhodišče. For the whole trail I needed about 15 hours, 8 liters of fluid, 3 bars, 6 sandwiches, some biscuits and about a kilo of tomatoes and some salt.

Bravo, ris. You went far in this heat. I tasted it two weeks ago on Grintavec. If water had at least slightly lower specific weight... If you had told me before you're going for traverse, I would tell you on which peaks I have hidden bottles - I'll probably skip the traverse this year. You have ZS.
