Well, and where do you put those 30-40 minutes extra? I knew someone who was fast, too fast in the mountains, so very fast that he didn't reach 50.

From home by bus or train, then for the whole weekend on such a tour (Vrata-Vršič), like back in the days, that's a mountain experience. Sadly I use it too rarely myself. Good luck

@turbo I never claimed to be the fastest if you're even a minute better you'll be in top 10 at the Czech run too

Yesterday we went from Vrata to Vršič namely: Vrata - over Sovatno - Pogačnikov dom - Razor - via Jubilejna - Prisojnik - via ridge to Vršič. There are some very nice sections on the path, the whole path according to Garmin added up to 23 km though it's less as it got a bit lost. We needed 9h30min for normal walking. It was an excellent tour.
