Hello! If there's any touring skier among you who has perhaps tried Gecko skins, this new model that doesn't stick to the skis, please share your opinion if the system works or if glue is still the best. Thanks and best regards.

If you don't have connections or discounts in shops it's worth browsing the net a bit to save a few euros

Hi! Gecko skins served me well last year, but this year the self-adhesive layer softened and became very sticky. Over summer they were stored in a dark and cool place so no external damaging influence. When I pull the skins off the skis, a sticky, black, gooey substance remains on them. Skiing obviously not possible without prior cleaning which is unacceptable. Proper cleaning of the base is only possible with some solvent. Anyone else had this experience? How to fix it? Thanks and lots of touring fun; B

Well-known problem with Gecko skins. No help except claiming warranty or whatever at the importer (Promontana). How successful you'll be is another question.

I've had them for three years now, best skins so far. In summer I keep them in the freezer, after each tour I dry them stretched out in not too warm a place. No problems with anything sticking to the skis.
