Before heading to Italy, I make use of the time and ride my MTB to the ridge of Žirovski vrh, where Golni vrh rises highest at 962m. I biked the path in the direction of Horjul, past Šentjošt to Suhega dola 681m, up to which we climb continuously on asphalt. Here I turn left for Smrečje, at the sign right. The upper path doesn't reach the top, but at the farm Blaževec one needs to take a barely noticeable path to the top. When crossing the hayfield, which they were turning, I got some curses from a really trodden, primitive farmer. Yes, true, that I just pushed the bike in front of me and know that cows don't eat crumbs if they smell something from the valley. I told him, is the whole world his? Or should I walk on air? Here is the top. He didn't calm down, I didn't give up, but he thoroughly pondered to himself. I go calmly ahead to the forest top, where there is no view at all, but I felt the height and cooler air, especially when I rolled into the valley. Despite the circumstances, it was a nice tour, where I was for the first time. From Ljubljana to the top 3 hours and 40 km one way. Nice greeting until next time!
