This time we rode for a change to Lesachtal-Lesna dolina, in the Lienz Dolomites. We left the car in Obertilliach at the lower chairlift station. Right after the parking area a very nicely maintained gravel path starts. This time the path climbs moderately, without any nasty climbs. After 8km the path leads to the upper chairlift station coming from the valley and beautiful Conny Alm hut at 2050m. Here magnificent views practically all around. The ambience is really fantastic. We continue on the nice gravel path and reach an artificial lake and then a bit further to another lake Jochsee. From here the Golzentipp summit is already nicely visible. To the summit about 150m more. The summit is grassy so we pushed the bikes to the top by hand, since descent is possible right from the summit (2317m). Unfortunately the weather worsened quite a bit at the summit - cloudiness and strong wind so we quickly descended from the top. My buddy chose the arrival direction for descent to the valley, I rode fantastic singletrack no.47 on the other side of the valley. One of the best I've ridden. Wonderful views. Lower down I reach a nicely maintained gravel road that brings me right to the car. Excellent loop tour and I can agree with one of the Italian MTB forums where I got the tour, that it's one of the best in the Lienz Dolomites.
