GPP - Grosuplje Hiking Trail

The Grosuplje hiking trail dates back to the distant year 1986 and its purpose was to encircle the municipality of Grosuplje in all its grandeur. Nowadays municipal boundaries are different, the trail remains the same. It's 80 km long with over 2700 m elevation gain and can be excellently done in two to three days with minimal logistics.

The route is very diverse ... some asphalt, some gravel, some forest paths. Here you certainly don't conquer mighty summits, but that's not the point of this trail either. You get to know the hilly world of central Slovenia and mostly unknown corners. Recommended for lovers of long, rambling trails nasmeh

Interesting, something familiar from the walked E-6. Would be interesting to try in 24 h, since not much elevation it wouldn't be too hard. Some scouting tour and if path well marked, walk it in one go. LP. J.

Little Grosupeljska ... that's how I named the loop we walked in one day. Here no logistics for transports needed, which the 80 km original requires. Part of route exactly same, part newly charted. Came to 38 km and 1200 m elevation, perfect for spring days nasmeh. GPS track available from me, more in photo story ...

Circular tour suitable for the miserable weather of recent days. Mostly follows the Grosuplje trail route, adapted to current conditions and accordingly much shorter. Mud is very little, snow doesn't hinder walking either. More in the photo story ...
