On 26 December the traditional hike along the paths of Cankar's mother takes place, today was the 21st in a row. The bus took us from Vrhnika to Vrzdenec, where we first viewed the nativity scene into which weeks of work have been invested. Excellent Damjan presented some Cankar excerpts in front of St. Kanciljan church in Vrzdenec and the spot where Cankar's mother Neža's birth house once stood. Frescoes in this church are among the oldest in Slovenia. At Činžar homestead they always welcome us hospitably, treat us and even perform. The path continued to the highest point of the hike at Gradišče, offering excellent views towards Koren, Planina above Vrhnika, Krim, Ljubljana Marshes, even towards south Bohinj mountains, Velika Planina and Rogatec. From the top we see even 35 churches, today views really excellent. The path continued towards Žažarje, Ligojna, Stara Vrhnika and final goal Cankar house in Vrhnika. The path was pleasant today, somewhere frozen, somewhere little mud, otherwise easy 14.5 km. Today over 120 participants, organizers excellent as always, took care of all participants.
