Really a cute little hill, embedded in the Kranj panorama between the more famous Tolsti vrh on one side and Storžič on the other, in between surrounded by pastures Malo Poljano and V. Poljano, which offer a really nice starting point for the ascent to its summit.
Since it is mentioned very rarely, and even then mostly incidentally during visits to both pastures, I opened my own topic for it, which it truly deserves, especially because it enthused both of us with nice views and really nice vegetation along the path. The view of Storžič impresses, which at this time is still adorned with a snowy base, on the other side Tolsti vrh as if within reach, in the background view to Stol, Begunjščica, Vrtača and Košuta. On the initial part of the ascent also views to the Bohinj Julians. Of course the bench on the summit was not forgotten either.
Otherwise we did a circular tour. Starting point Povlje, then Pl. Javornik, Velika Poljana, Grebenc, descent back to V. Poljano but via another path, then Mala Poljana and return past the quarry to the starting point. It will still await our visit!
