yeah we also went to check the sunset. With too few clothes we stayed quite long on top, a bit chilled but worth it, pretty nasty wind up there. Wonderful.

yep, got a new camera, switched from compact to DSLR, so still learning, as I noticed huge difference.

hehe, pics addict you, huh? slowly you'll need bigger backpack so everything fits. As far as I'm concerned mandatory gear for hill shooting with DSLRs is UV filter and polarizer. Pics get incredible warmth, gain sharpness, sky becomes dark blue. Only minus is if you're in dark forest or poor light better remove polarizer cuz it takes some light.

Aha! One more thing. I don't wanna be annoying, just lots of people forget about the horizon in photos (e.g. sea hanging, tower sideways...). It's worth paying attention to it, practically impossible to fix. Better DSLRs have built-in grid (mesh) to align objects right.

Fazo, horizon on pic can be easily fixed in [url=http://picasa.google.si/]Picasa 3[/url]. DSLR pics sharper of course, but more raw - for further processing, esp in RAW. So decide to carry filters or process later in digital darkroom. Though good enough for average use without tweaks. Cheers, Medo

Approval granted, plan half done. Originally planned to sleep on top, but conditions didn't allow. Had plenty to wear, but wind (not crazy) big temp drop (5-7C) and clouding up (morning look at Grinta no more) and I'd already drunk all (3l), sweat running in streams. Couldn't see even to Planjava. Stayed till ~22:30 then descended. On the way partial clearing. Moon showed, all lit up. Thought I've done sunrise many times so went back easier. Will repeat later. Sunset wonderful. Medo, Skuta we'll redo.

Super photos. Yesterday afternoon right after shift rushed to Grintovec - this time camera in hand - so didn't run! and damn, trail steeper than thought!? While running no time to think about slope. Anyway, skipped lunch for summit, 20m below nausea hit, but unknown guy from Radolce gave biscuits for insulin. Thanks if reading! Already thinking to bivouac on Grintovec top soon. Sunrise sunset from summit would be wonderful...

On Friday planning start 6am from Kota to top via Streha, descent via Mlinarsko sedlo - Kokrsko sedlo - start...

Can someone tell how long this route takes? (figuring ~7h)

Any peculiarities north side to Mlinarsko sedlo?
