Today I climbed up to Grmada, actually twice. First time I went via Mazejeva path, because I missed the climbing part, since I didn't know exactly where to go. When I got to the valley I climbed up to Grmada again via the climbing path. I have to say, it's very interesting..... I forgot to take any pictures, because I was focused on every single step. Best, matic

Personally, uphill it seemed iron and exposed to me - like that one through Turski žleb - of course shorter. I prefer equipped paths where I climb on rocks and not on iron. For beginners or first-timers - a via ferrata set comes in handy. Best. Franci

I quite agree with Franci regarding belaying. The path is well described and photographed on this side, so you actually get a real impression of what it's like. I chose this path as the first where my son and I learned self-belaying and equipment use. It seems to me that whoever feels the mentioned path is too demanding for them, should just avoid secured paths in high mountains. LP Andrej

No, it's about Grmada in Ljubljana, where you can extend the path to Šmarna gora

Thanks, near Celje there is hill Grmada which has extremely steep path on one side to it - the other side is very precipitous. So I thought it could be this one (just haven't heard there's equipped path on precipitous wall). So I was interested to try it. Anyway thanks for quick reply! Lp

Spot on. The hill is completely dry from this (southern) side. PS: The post is this time - on recommendation of precise observer (thanks!) - in the right place
