Nice afternoon circular trail to the mentioned peaks. Starting point: Kompolje (Dobrepoljska valley) - Grmada on Mali gori - Kamen vrh - Podgora. From there off-trail to starting point. Nice trail (well marked). No bears in sight. Nice mountaineer's greeting.

Today did a circular tour from Velike Lašče to Kamen vrh (hut below summit closed even on Sunday), then to Grmada (hut open) and return via Gornje and Dolnje Retje, all exclusively on marked paths. While in Lj. basin no snow left even for a trace, there still real winter idyll. Already Velike Lašče snow-covered, elsewhere more snow, sinking to knees in places. Somewhat surprised that especially first part (VL-KV) path poorly trodden, seems as if only one or at most two broke trail since last snowfall, as if Velikolaščani not so "hooked" on mountains Slovenian style nasmeh. Further on somewhat better trodden. Only on steeper bit just below Grmada summit snow frozen and crampons useful, elsewhere not necessary. Also met few people in morning/noon time, probably fingers of both hands enough to count, and that only around Grmada summit. Well, luckily didn't wake any bear velik nasmeh. Especially last part (Grmada - Gornje Retje) mostly over meadows (elsewhere mainly forest) and when grass greens up must be nice. Interestingly, when returning to Gornje Retje after good part of path, track split and right branch to lonely house better trodden than official to G. Retje, tiring to break trail again. As if visitors park near that house (Google says hunter's hut) and join there? Finally this. Official marked circular path crosses railway twice and at both "crossings" signs forbidden (and indeed due to curves track not visible, new passenger trains quieter than "old eggs"), one crossing has SOS sign as usual on official ones.

Few pics for taste, more in path descriptions when I write them.

The path from Gornjega Retja to Grmada (transmitter in the background) is somewhat better trodden.4
