Hajnževo sedlo

Up to the last bend I hesitated between Zelenica and Hajnže Saddle. Then I just parked and went towards Planina Korošica. First along the road without problems. Only a few times the path is crossed by avalanche remains. There it's quite icy, but still no problem if using crampons a bit. Since it was my first time with them I left them on the skis so we could get used to each other a bit. A bit before the planina I turned right and straight up towards the saddle (don't know since first time, but think it would be easier past the planina). Below the saddle top the ski track goes across the whole slope and there it seems a bit dangerous to me. Also doesn't look like anyone skied there. At the top the sky opens and accompanies me to the valley. I ski right by the forest, where powder is about 30 cm, ideal. As soon as it carries me more to the middle, crust again. So I stick to the forest. And enjoy immensely. At the end back to the road, there a bit hard but up there it was so beautiful nothing bothered me here. Think they'll see me there again in a few days.

Today I went from Ljubelj, past Koča na Ljubelju, to Hajnževo sedlo. Descended via the hunting trail.
The entire trail is normally passable, but the section from Koča na Ljubelju to planina Korošica is quite slippery.

Today I hiked the trail Sele-Zvrhnji Kot (Male) - Hajnžev graben - Dovjakovo sedlo - planina Korošica - Hajnževo sedlo - Hajnžev graben - Sele-Zvrhnji Kot (Male).
The trail is normally passable.

At Vranček, where I left the car, there was no one yet yesterday morning. Just a few cm thick fresh snow cover didn't allow ascent on skis, so had to hike about 200m up on foot, to about 1140m, where I switched to climbing skins.

Continued on the wide forest road towards Planina Korošica, which was covered by an avalanche in one or two places, but no major issues. The trail to the saddle is possible through the shaded valley bottom or via Korošica, where I sensed sun. I chose the latter, which meant a few hundred meters of sometimes steep traverses, as the (marked) trail is covered in snow. The saddle (border crossing) was in shade, so I did a bit more elevation on the slope of Košutnica, where I sorted my gear in the nice sun. Down I skied more or less the ascent route, skiing on sun suited me better. In the last part no choice but shaded slopes of Zajmenova peč to the point where I put on skis uphill. To the car another 20 min walk, eased a bit by thin fresh snow layer, as the step was softer and knees hurt less nasmeh

Snow in skiable part is hard. On Korošica up to the top of the fence, about a meter. Since fresh snow depth increases by a cm or two uphill, the skiing is still pleasant. Weather divine, Zelenica with both Vrtača, Begunjščica and Stol were in plain view. At the saddle I was all alone, only saw some hikers and tourers on descent.

The first 200 meters of elevation were a bit dreary.

Avalanche at about 1050 m, shortly after I put on my skis.

Ascent possible straight up or left via Korošica.

Planina Korošica. Snow up to the top of the fence, so about a meter.

Exceptional views on Zelenica and the mountains around it.

Descent on hard snow with a few cm of powder.

Today to planina Korošica. Tracks of touring skiers lead towards Hajnže Saddle, but I climbed to the hut. Caution needed due to avalanches from slopes of Kramarica.
