Hello.
Yesterday I went along the Karst Rim hoping to also reach the rock shelters. Murphy was with me. Grrr nasmeh
Below is a picture where I walked. Can someone show me where these rock shelters are?

Where you walked, you certainly won't find rock shelters. If you mean those rock shelters where there's also a natural bridge, you must go by road towards Buzet to Sočerga. From Sočerga go to St. Kirik church and further along the rim towards the Croatian border. Under the rim you're walking on are the rock shelters... Use the PZS map "Slovenska Istra, Čičarija, Brkini, Kras" 2011 edition. Walking in that area is forbidden due to scaring birds; signs warn at the accesses to the rock shelters area.

No, walking along the edge to the rock shelters is not forbidden. Continuing under the rock shelters, yes.
From Kvirik to rock shelters about one hour walk.

Bojan79! On the Forum - Goriško, Notranjsko and Snežniško hribovje, search for Kraški rob - Veli Badin. There you'll find quite a few tips for the path. My husband and I followed them and found everything right away. I hope you'll succeed too, it's really nice! We were there in autumn, when due to foliage it's especially magical! Good luck!

Orientation just for viewing the rock shelters is no problem at all. Drive over the Sočerga border crossing on the Črni kal - Buzet road and after about a kilometer on gravel left and uphill (the only left turn between the two border crossings). On the saddle after a couple of hundred meters there is suitable parking space. Leave the car here and go through the bushes to the rock edge. After a short "walk" through the thicket with a bit of luck you spot the natural bridge and descend past it to the rock shelters. Now is a perfect time to visit, no snakes and bushes without leaves, so the terrain overview is unobstructed... Anyway, I recommend the excellent PZS hiking map "SIČBK".
