On Sunday I'm planning to go on a one-day hike to the mountains, what do you recommend? Last time I was on Stožica and it was ok. Not too demanding!! LP Dare

I suggest Rodica in the Lower Bohinj Mountains. Take the cable car to Vogel and follow the path to Rodica. It goes up and down again, beautiful views of Triglav all the time. You'll need 2-3 hours of easy walking for the ascent. I recommend it to others too. Jure

Rodica is quite OK. I climbed to it a few years ago from the Alpinium Hotel by the lake via Planina Suha. This path is definitely longer and a bit more strenuous. I returned to the Ski Hotel on Vogel and with the cable car to the valley. And I didn't need to pay for the ride because you can get it at the lower station in both directions. Hope they haven't introduced one-way tickets yet... Boštjan

I suggest you take a mountaineering guidebook in your hands and a wide horizon will open to you...

I suggest Soriška planina from there to Možica and on along Rapallo border. Not bad, once on top you walk from hill to hill. View of Bohinj lake, Baška grapa. More about it in today's Polet in Novice and Delo. Monika

Soriška planina is a good suggestion. What about Viševnik, Debela peč, Veliki Draški vrh, Tosc....

I don't know what you're even asking; wonderful tours just one foot after the other.

Just one foot after the other is not enough. You need to look at the map a bit, which paths lead to the goal, walking times, alternative paths, huts along the way....
