Does anyone have any concrete info on the Hike on Jurčič's Path. Supposedly first Saturday in March (that's how it's been so far)? If I search "pohod po Jurčičevi poti" on NAJDI.si, it only gives info from 2007 or older, so a bit of criticism to organizers. Obviously sleeping on their laurels instead of engaging a bit in providing info. Usually people get this info when the hike is already over (note: read in newspaper next day or see on news same evening).
Check out the page dedicated to the "From Litija to Čatež" hike and learn how to promote such hikes.
So question still stands, where can I get some concrete info, since I've never done this hike but would like to this year.

This year too the Hike on Jurčič's Path is first Saturday in March - so 7.3.09!
About the path itself: start in Višnja Gora and it climbs at first towards Polževo, where organizers provide various refreshments, then short ascent to the church of the Holy Spirit, path then gently descends to Male Vrh village, where black kitchen is on display - and refreshments too, then further descent to the church of St. John the Baptist, path then brings us without much effort to Jurčič homestead, where hike ends, with short program, and food and drinks not missing. Path done in 3-4 hours, maybe sooner - depending how long we stay at stops! Let me tell you, last year I did this hike - started at 8:15 and arrived at Jurčič homestead at 12, but we stayed quite long at stops. Also, it's one of the most visited hikes in Slovenia, where you can meet some big shot from Slovenian politics!

It's sad that the organizer can't make one simple page and promote it so it comes first on NAJDI.si when searching "Pohodu po Jurčičevi poti".

Interested when is the hike from Litija to Čatež. For some years we've been planning with friends to go sometime. Since we're from Gorenjska and would go by train, it'd be even more interesting. I think this hike is quite good. Someone can write more about it. Lp
