If there's some private bus service let him come to Škofja Loka bus station he'll have a fully packed bus. We'll gladly pay just to drive us to Črni vrh.
There are quite a few of us who walk to the meeting point already from Log. That asphalt road drags on. When it rains you arrive all soaked already at the start.

Maybe some of you arrange and call a taxi to drive you from Log..if there's no other option...Logistics here are really a bit complicatedzadrega

Report from the scene.

First time I participated in the hike. It was the 39th memorial hike Along the Path of Cankar's Battalion, Pasja ravan-Dražgoše.

Start was at the local home (refreshment Dom) at Črni vrh above Polhov Gradec. There was registration of hikers. Total 308 of us. About ninety first-timers. Exactly at midnight the hike started. We were led by guides from PD Škofja Loka. The hike itself lasted about nine hours. It was complete darkness-headlamps obligatory. No snow on the path. But the path was mostly very muddy. Half of the path is quite steep, and there are many descents too. So ascents and descents alternate. From the starting point through forest paths and off-trail to Zminec, over Breznica under Lubnik, descent to Praprotno, through Ševlje and under Zabrekve to Dražgoše.

I would describe the path from my viewpoint as very long, strenuous and demanding given the conditions-darkness, mud. Glad that many young people went on the path for the first time. We had one hiker who did it 30x, one hiker-our guide-20x and ten hikers who did it tenth time.

Unfortunately no conditions to have camera with me, so here's proof that I really did this path.

Branko, you didn't just participate in the hike. You were the hike leader. And I congratulate you on the not-easy path walked and the excellently done job.

Conditions really weren't very wintry... But because of all the mud it was perhaps even more slippery in places than it would be in snow. And in cloudy weather the darkness was "real".

On Thursday 01.08.2019 we Četrkovci -retired section PD Škofja Loka -did a day hike from Pasja ravan to Dražgoše. Of course completely different conditions than the traditional hike on 13 January when winter conditions prevail and start at midnight. The hike is long -the most persistent walked it all -a bit we walked shortcuts of course which you have to know, and we really didn't start from St. Jedert church in Dražgoše but drove from the church to Lajše for well-deserved hot snack -ajmoht with buckwheat fritters with cracklings -delicious. We walked about eight hours.
The start was at the House of Locals on Črni vrh. From there the start is also on January 13th.1

Through countless forest paths. The path is of course not marked. On January 13th, arrows, signs, ribbons are set up so that you don't get lost at night.4

The coffee break was at the refreshment place at Nacet in Breznica. There on the winter hike they also stop for tea, a small bonfire is burning to make it a bit warmer.9
After the refreshment place we parted. This is the group of the most persistent.10

Here you then cross the water over a little bridge. Nearby is a sledding hill.14

Past the charcoal burner - I don't know if anyone still makes charcoal in these parts - he shared homemade schnapps.20

The conclusion was in the village of Lajše.23
