Hiking Boots - Cleaning?

The time of "muddy" hikes has come, which will last and last. All of us who like to hike, regardless of weather conditions or season, are rewarded for our feats among other things with "filthy shoes".
I use Alpina shoes with rough (like suede) leather. Cleaning is definitely troublesome..
So how do you (at home) clean your hooves?

Snow is plentiful - so you go at least to 1000 m above sea level - and thaws will end too - and no more mud problems. If you go higher to look for an avalanche and it finds you, then no more problems ever. (Meant only as a warning, not as a joke from nature, which can always do its own thing)

Otherwise brush and impregnation for wet trails and diligence and shoes shine again.

Interesting topic. Answer already given, but anyway. I personally avoid muddy paths, that's why I don't like Karavanke much either. If it happens that something gets dirty, there's always some water to be found, snow helps too. Muddy shoes you simply wash with a brush and dry, then comes greasing, spraying. There's no special science here. I usually do it already on the way home.

Well fine..Thanks for the "instructions"!
Regarding that "above 1000 m.a.s.l.", let me remind you that most starting points are well below that limit. Fly?
Water, snow, brush, waterproofing etc, -we all know that for sure.
Only I would ask triglavski with what to grease nubuck leather? For example for smooth surfaces there are various pastes available.
Maybe besides the listed there is some effective means for cleaning and care of certain leather.

p.s. I'm not omnipotent Bruce who would say: "let the thaw end".

Nubuck leather, suede leather then, I'm not an expert, but I grease my leather shoes with seal fat - impregnating fat for smooth leather, so far very successfully protects against moisture, since I use 4 to 5 different pairs of shoes from Alpine, Meindl, Lowe, La Sportiva, I devote to each pair in its own way, sometimes also impregnating spray or "milk". Results are better if you grease damp leather and then dry it.
