hiking boots made to order

Hello!
I'm interested if anyone knows where one could get hiking boots made to order because I have one foot smaller than the other (almost one size) and don't know if it's better to buy them to order or just in the store.
I haven't seen this topic anywhere so I decided to open it myself nasmeh Thanks in advance for answers.

Sometimes it was possible at Alpina, ask at the nearby shop.

Did you ask only in the shop or directly at the factory? And if no there too, turn to some foreign manufacturer, sometimes they are more responsive.

I have the identical problem.
No success with all providers.

The funniest for me was with Salomon, when I talked to the promoters at the event if it's possible to get two shoes of different sizes. Answer: can't be done.
Funny was that both promoters were wearing shoes of different colors....

@julchy: my advice - go to a shoemaker who knows about hiking footwear (in LJ there's one in Šiška next to the church) and explain the problem. Maybe he'll help with an extra insole or something similar. Asking isn't a sin velik nasmeh !
I had different problems myself ... new gojzers (Meindl Super Crack) immediately rubbed me at the ankle where the bone is ... and the shoemaker said no problem ... we'll move the bone 1-1.5 cm higher eek hello he's not an orthopedist! Then he gave me a special insole - thin at the toes, thick 1.5cm at the heel ... and since then no problems (with gojzers).

@tol: they told me to buy 2 pairs of shoes eek that would be 200€ because I wouldn't need 2 single shoes

@facko: I'll go ask thanks for the advice mežikanje

Actually, you don't need shoes made to order, but just different sizes. And that's crucial for the price, with "special order" they'd charge you more. But they'd make the shoes on a last they already have, they wouldn't make a new last.

Tackle it as a project. First find a model (Meindl, Scarpa, Alpina, Ecco, HH...etc) that suits you and which size for which foot. Hiking boots also come in half sizes, Scandinavians are more refined and make quarter sizes too.

When you find a suitable model "press" the retailer to order them for you. It's not impossible. And don't beg, you'll pay. Smart retailers know they live from sales, not stock.
For courage. Our friend with the larger foot only suited an older Scarpa model, none of the newer ones. The retailer ordered exactly what he wanted and he got them.
Trezeta and Meindl also offer old models again, like "evergreens".

I'm attaching some orthopedic footwear makers, maybe
someone is skilled in making hiking boots too, trying doesn't hurt if you've decided to order them custom-made:

Tržič - http://www.migi.si/
Soča na Linhartovi, Lj - 01/437-42-52....051/220-726 Handmade, Vnanje Gorice - 01/365-12-15...041/755-112
Zavod Moderna Ortopedija v Šmartnem pod Šmarno goro - 01/ 511-62-92

See, now you have so much data, nothing left but to tackle the project "my hiking boots". In life there are no problems, only challenges!

I also have a similar problem. Left foot is 12mm larger. That's almost 1.5 sizes.
In the past month, I tried over 50 different models. So I've already given up.
Today at Pohodnik all trekking models from Meindl.
My right foot is obviously very weird, as most shoes slip at the heel or lift at the heel by about 0.5cm when walking, if you add an insole, the shoe usually presses in the instep area.
