Soon I'll run out of impregnating sprays for hiking footwear.

Which of the listed would you recommend more and why?... I've used all these, had them myself or from others... but since I haven't walked often or for a long time at once precisely in snow, mud, rain, in short all wet, I can't say which is more suitable...

Should I really use cream or grease before applying it, e.g. from the same manufacturers?... because apparently that provides the real protection...

I think I still won't go often into such weather conditions, and even when I do, not for most of the day... so will just the impregnating spray be enough?... thanks for the help.

Which impregnation spray do you recommend for hiking footwear (Alpina Tibet)? Something okay regarding price and quality. I go to the mountains several times a month in all conditions. Thanks.

It works great on all types of footwear, and I'm also very satisfied with the impregnation of my older softshell jacket.

Care for hiking shoes depends on the shoe type. First we need to figure out what shoe we have, what materials it's made of and approach care accordingly. Some questions:
-leather or textile,
-what type of leather, nubuck, suede, smooth leather,
-has membrane (Gore Tex, OutDry, eVent, …) or not?
